I’ve started listening to The Fray back in 2003. Since then they’ve become one of my all time favorite bands. They haven’t toured Europe in ages and I have to admit that I had given up the idea to shoot them here in Europe. Well … they came….. and like “Guano Apes” put it so good: Oh what a night.
I had backstage access with my lovely wife, we had the chance to spend 20 minutes with them talking about stuff. Without going into detail they did something for us that was simply put : amazing. We’ll never forget last night, THANK YOU guys! On a musical note it was awesome, granted I might be slightly biased but the crowd seemed to think the same way. The venue was sold out and people were screaming for an “encore”. If they hit your town, ….. check them out !!
On a technical note: The light was tough, really tough. LED’s mixed with white light and alternating quite fast. Isaac was sitting on the piano for the last of the three songs which made it quite static to photograph. It was however a treat to see the amount of energy he puts into it, even sitting 😉
I used the 24-70mm F2.8 only for this gig.
