A lot of people told me not to miss the Rival Sons if can. I followed that advice and I have to tell you all that they were right about the band out of Long Beach. I haven’t been impressed like that in a long time by a band. Jay Buchanan gives it all on stage and so does most of his crew. The sound is rich and deep and the show on stage is awesome.

On a technical note: The pit at Den Atelier is quite narrow (50cm) and moving around in there when it is crowded is quite daunting. On the upside the stage is very low which gets you very close to the artists. Sometimes the light is bland and boring and sometimes it’s not. Well for this concert, the pit was not too crowded and the light was really good…. perfect conditions for a very good show. I used the 24-70 for this show as the stands were hindering interesing Fisheye shots.
