To be honest I wasn’t really thrilled about this gig as I didn’t know the band and I was told quite last minute that I they were performing at 23:00 only. It was their opening concert for the Immersion Tour . They were full of energy delivering a performance that would live up to their reputation amongst their fans. The venue was completely sold out as well.
Photographically it was very difficult. The light was mainly coming from the back, switching between different colors and bright whites. Quick adjustments were needed all the time, and since Rob Swire their lead was moving a lot and very fast on stage. I used the 28-75mm F2.8 only for this one, it was so fast paced that I had no time to switch lenses, adding to that the fact that we only had two songs instead of the three we usually have.
