I had mixed feelings when I was asked to photograph Lenny Kravitz. Why ? Because I cancelled a holiday last time he was in Luxembourg to photograph him, but my accreditation was cancelled the day before the concert. I was not amused. But after the first three songs tonight I was happy again. What a show, and what a performance.
On a technical note: The light was good, but it changed so fast from very bright to very dark that it made it quite hard to keep up. Definitely not a concert to start with if you are new to the job. The stage was weird with a lot of obstacles for good angles, so I stuck to the 24-70mm F2.8 for all three songs. I tend to get more and more minimalistic in terms of lens usage, ….. weird.
