Lemonheads is a band that I knew in the 90’s when they performed a cover of “Mrs. Robinson” I kind of lost sight of the band until this year when I heard they were touring the states with some possible gigs in Europe. Mr. Dando opened up with an acoustic song only to follow up with two more acoustic sets, which meant for us photographers, …. no band to photograph.
On a technical note: It was disappointing to photograph 3 acoustic sets only to see the band get on stage once we were out of the pit. The light was simply static but ok. Evan Dando didn’t move at all which resulted in very similar pictures. In situation like these, there’s nothing you can do but make sure you try every angle and bag 3 or 4 usable frames.
