Indochine which was formed in 1981 in France was on top of their game with a splendid stage show. I got to know them somewhat when they released an album in collaboration with Brian Molko(Placebo). I was amazed at the fans who attended the show. The Rockhal was sold out and the crowd was absolutely MAD.
Here you can get a taste of the stage setup. There’s one more screen of the same size to each side. This shot was taken with a 15mm Fisheye…..
Photographically it was both, a treat and a pain. The light varied a lot from dark to bright, but most of the time the lead singer Nicolas Sirkis had a bright spot aimed at him. The difficulty was that just in front of the lead they had a small elevation that blocked a lot of the view.
I used the 28-75mm F2.8 and 15mm F2.8 mainly for this show. Moving around was quite easy as the stage was huge which led to the photographers being well dispersed around it.
As always you can see the rest of the pics below in the slideshow or here in the gallery.
