When the tickets went on sale for this concert, they were sold out in a matter of a couple of days. I read up on “HIM” as I only knew “Join me in death” which I loved back then. I read that they would play their final gig on December 31st, 2017 and then call it quits ….. So I accepted the assignment. Holy crap, this was one of the toughest shows that I had to shoot in my career. The stage was beautifully lit all over, … except on the leads face! While he was moving in the smoke screen surrounded by stroboscopic effects and spotlights I can assure you that the X-T2’s focusing abilities reached its limits. I even saw one fellow photographer stop taking pictures altogether. That being said, musically it was quite nice, so nice in fact that I will be listening to their latest album and give it a shot …
