I didn’t know Casper, I read up on him yesterday morning before the show. His fans were quite crazy which is always a good sign. I liked his show, it’s very energetic and the guy knows how to handle his fans.
On a technical note : A tip for my fellow photographers: Don’t be static, you have to move in the pit to get the shot ! It doesn’t stop to amaze me when I see a photographer who got her/his accreditation to be in the Pit and then stands there at the same spot for the whole three songs, wishing for the perfect shot to come to her/him ! Stop dreaming, .. it won’t happen, you have to move. And thus being said you’re permanently blocking the way for the other photographers. Now, back to the concert, the light was ok but Casper was moving around a lot and very fast. So you had to be on your toes to get the shot. I used the 28-75 F2.8 and the 15mm F2.8 for the whole gig.
