Let’s cut to the chase today, …. fantastic !! I love Awolnation’s CD, but as we concert goers all undoubtedly experienced before a band on CD doesn’t necessarily sound like the same band live. This is true for Awolnation, … but the other way around. I loved their show, the songs were slightly different than on the CD, and Drew Stewart’s solo during Sail was just the icing on the cake. Check them out live if you get the chance, and if you haven’t done so yet then listen to their album “Megalithic Symphony”.
On a technical note: AWFUL, …. horrible light. Actually there was no light to speak of. It’s like Aaron Bruno was singing in the dark, and I am not joking. There were intermittent spot lighting him up, but they were so fast that I couldn’t get the auto focus to catch on to something. I didn’t want to change lenses since I was grasping for those very few moments of “light” to get a shot.
