I don’t have to introduce Mr Costello, he’s been touring for quite some time now. As far as I know it’s been his first time in Luxembourg. The venue was not sold out but decently packed and the crowd enjoyed themselves. The sound was a bit funny though with the instruments seemingly overpowering Mr Costello’s voice. All in all a very nice show for his fans.
On a technical note: It was the first time I went to that venue to shoot a concert. It’s really a beautiful setting, the old part of town with the huge rock formation behind the scene. It was open air, so the light was quite dull for a show, and we were quite restrained to some part of the stage. This significantly reduces the choice for composing your shots I’ve used the 70-200mm F2.8, 15mm F2.8 and 28-75mm F2.8 for this gig.
